I have been collecting Laura Ashley memorabilia for many years and, following the closure of the company in 2020, I decided to catalogue these as a permanent record of Laura Ashley and her amazing creativity.
My family has strong links with South Wales and I also want to pay tribute to the effect the business had on the Welsh economy and the way she stood up for the rights of working Mothers.

This is probably the most famous of Laura Ashleys' publications.
The first catalogue was simply a double sided leaflet as shown in this photo. Laura was initially reluctant to publish a catalogue as she worried restricting the range to specific designs would stifle her creativity. In 1981 they produced the first full catalogue and they were updated annually with occasional seasonal leaflets. In 2001 they began producing the catalogues twice a year and this continued until the companies sad demise in 2020.
The first four catalogues shown here are the rarest. Within the archive we are lucky enough to have a copy of every catalogue produced. They are an invaluable research aid.
